Unit 2 – PPD London Project < Bethnal Green E2>
Individual Evaluative Report
I have researched a church called Saint John Bethnal Green in Bethnal Green, East London.
Our group decided to have a look at place by themselves and meet up for what we researched by each of the following type. We usually had a meeting once a week to check up how we are getting on and if there was any problem with it.
I went to Bethnal Green area by myself to take some photos and get an idea of what is area like. In order to find out how was the area, houses, shops like and tried to figure out people who live this area what are their jobs like for basic knowledge of area. I have chosen Saint John Bethnal Green church following my topic. I found information from Internet and made some notes. All in my group we all work individually then come back to meeting take all work together and decorate our work.
I think we had a good combination of work individually and organise meeting to get more information or general knowledge of area as a group.
When we played our game it was pretty awful that weather was not helpful, sun goes down quickly, shops are about to close. Basically, we did not have enough time to play. It would be grateful if we start game earlier than we may have enough time to play and also get to know Highgate’s area as well.
Group work may interesting. In other words, if you do not know someone it will help you to build a new friendship also will give you other students opinion and feedback you have never thought about before. However, it is quite hard to organise to meet up eight people together. For instance, our group had a problem that someone did not turn up for a meeting. One of reason, the student did not realise that we have a group meeting. I realised that we need a leader who can organise our work, plan, and communicate with other students. I strongly suggest to my group that find a leader who can lead our group if I did it again. It will save time numerously and organise properly.
It was pleasure to work with my Bethnal Green E2 team and great opportunity to know more about Bethnal Green where I would not want to live. On the other hand, Highgate where our group played our game, the place was very nice where has lovely night view over London that I would like to live.
